ActiveXchange deploys full updates of census, demographic and segmentation data across Australia, Canada and the USA

ActiveXchange has rolled out major updates to its geographic, demographic, and segmentation datasets across Australia, Canada and the USA. These enhancements integrate the latest census data, refined segmentation models, and advanced health and population insights, providing all users with a more accurate and detailed understanding of community participation in sport, physical activity, and recreation.

Leveraging trusted data sources including Statistics Canada, the US Census Bureau, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and leading segmentation providers such as Environics Analytics, Claritas, and Experian – this update significantly improves modelling capabilities across the ActiveXchange platform.

Australia

  • Updated geographies, linking SA1 > SA2 > LGAs (2024 boundaries) > NEW Regional Development Australia Regions > States. This corrects a number of situations to provide the best accuracy of aggregated data amongst LGAs.
  • Latest census data updates reflecting the latest available Australian Bureau of Statistics datasets (ABS).
  • Refreshed Health Factor data, leveraging available census data from ABS.
  • Latest Experian Mosaic (2024) AUS consumer segmentation. This brings the most relevant profiling and understanding of people and participants in sports, physical activity and recreation.

Canada

  • Consistent Statistics Canada census geographies for Dissemination Areas, Census Subdivisions, and Provinces/Territories.
  • Latest census data updates reflecting the latest available Statistics Canada published datasets.
  • Refreshed EDI Population and Health Factor data, leveraging available census data and licensed Environics Analytics data representing 2024 modelled projections.
  • NEW Environics Analytics PRIZM consumer segmentation, which brings the most relevant profiling and understanding of people and participants in sports, physical activity and recreation. This is a significant value enhancement for all existing clients, increasing from 20 to 68 unique segments with corresponding attributes. More detailed attributes leads to refined modelling and projection capabilities across ActiveXchange platform modelling (e.g. Demand, Retention, etc.)

USA

  • Consistent US Census Bureau geographies for Block Groups, Counties, States, and Divisions.
  • Latest census data updates reflecting the latest available US Census Bureau published datasets.
  • Refreshed Population, Demographic and Segmentation data, leveraging available census data and licensed Claritas data, representing the latest 2025 modelled projections.
  • NEW Population at Risk of Inactivity and associated 8 NEW Health Factors implemented from licensed Claritas Consumer Profile > Health & PRIZM Segmentation data.

All enhancements are now live and available to current users at no additional cost, ensuring our network can access the most up-to-date intelligence to drive strategic decision-making.
